Kana is very large brested for her age, with a curvy and womanly body that requires her to work out constantly to keep it in shape. With being born in a very gloomy and rain filled city, her complexion still remains very pale and even on some sunny days being burnt - she doesn't tan, she burns. Defying all laws of natural hair colour, Kana's natural colour is a deep blue that resembles purple in the right light, a colour that she used to hate and tried to dye. Unfortunately, dye doesn't take well to her hair at all - it always fades. Her hair is styled in a semi-scene style minus the constant teasing, with a strand that always hangs off of her sidebang reaching to the right of her face. Beside a bun on the side of her head is an origami rose.
She usually wears dark colours, almost always being a shade of purple or blue. These usually include dark coloured Silver skinny jeans, and graphic tees - or the occasional loose fitting top to accent her slim yet feminine figure further. Furthering her tomboyish appearance further, Kana has a small lip piercing below her lower lip, and a belly piercing. Really, she never wears anything skimpy - always tomboyish and casual, the skimpiest clothing she gets being string bikinis when she swims.

_░_Personality:
As a freshman, Kana is downright playful and outgoing... once she feels comfortable. Surrounded by people she does not know in the High School, Kana really doesn't talk much unless if she is approached by others - some may see it as being shy, but really Kana is just a loner. Once she is around people that she knows and feels comfortable, she will be outgoing and funny with her morbid and sarcastic sense of humor.
The library has to be her favorite part of the school. When skipping class - really, she has a very largely rebellious nature - she tends to come here to read huge novels or read some manga. Manga may be considered comic books in the eyes of some people, but Kana's preference for reading length in novels is usually 500-1,000 pages long.

Kana absolutely hates being called Ai. To others she may come across as very tomboyish - the only accessory she wears that could be considered girly is an origami rose on her hair and dark purple nailpolish. She prefers to be called by her last name - a more normal and less girly name to be called by. It's as teachers recognize her, they see her rebellious nature the most - when she isn't interested, she won't pay attention. If she wants to talk, she will. If she doesn't feel like going to school, she won't. Really, Kana does things her own way - the only teachers that actually like her are her English teachers and her Art/Drama teachers due to how she excels in the arts.
To some Kana might even come across as scary. Once she has her mind set on something, she'll never stop - as long as it holds her interest. Unlike most girls, Kana actually enjoys fighting with others - fist fights, paper, you name it. She never backs down and she never takes bull from anyone.

The strong willed part of Kana could be considered a wall to protect herself. A shell. She comes across as tough and willful, but once she truly gets closed to someone, she is very feminine. Of course if you tell her to make her a sammich, she'll still slap you. Once she trusts someone she will never betray them, showing the potential to be very understanding - still rebellious and dominant, but tamed down. Hell, if you get close enough to her, you'll notice that she has a huge soft spot for chibi and nekos.

_¥_Background:


Kana grew up in a wealthy and heavily religious but neglectful family - she acted out rebelliously to get noticed by them, seeming to not hold their love for religion at all. Really, a black sheep in the family. Once she hit her teens she began to act out and form gang-like groups of people that she'd help run with her red haired best friend, along with someone that Kana felt strong feelings for - Yahiko.
Their group had been famous for open door parties. As long as you got along well with their organization, then they would let you in. Unfortunately some people got sick of their group denying entry - and crashed the party. Only that wasn't the only thing that happened. One thing led to another, and both Yahiko and Nagato died that night.

After that, Kana mellowed out. Her parents had taken note of her depression and blamed it on being around bad influences that led to her behavior - or lack thereof - and sent her off to boarding school, not really showing any compassion towards their daughter.
